    1. Breed dominant CETP/CETP/ApoE3*Leiden Tg mice with strains of HMDP
    2. Use F1 mice for mapping of common variants
  2. Breeding
    1. Mice are Bred by DLAM in BSRB B-floor
    2. Male CETP/CETP/ApoE3*Leiden Tg mice are bred with female HMDP mice
  3. Source of mice:
    1. Male CETP/CETP/ApoE3*Leiden Tg- Colony maintained by Brian Bennett and Rich Davis and DLAM in BSRB
    2. HMDP females- Colony maintained by Melenie and DLAM in BSRB
  4. Breeding notes
    1. All mice are tattooed for identification
    2. Tails are collected for genotyping at approximately 3 weeks of age
  5. Mouse Colony work
    1. DNA isolated in DNeasy 96 column kits
    2. Tail bags kept by Hannah
    3. Tail records logged into notebook
  6. PCR run for ApoE3*lieden ( place protocol here)
    1. Mice not positive for  ApoE3*lieden are eliminated.
